MaintBot is a vehicle maintenance tracking app for Android and iOS. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how MaintBot handles your data.
MaintBot does not automatically collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
In App Store terms: MaintBot declares no data collection in its App Privacy nutrition label. No analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising identifier, no user identifier.
All data you enter into MaintBot (vehicle information, maintenance logs, ride logs, notes, and profile details) is stored locally on your device using an on-device SQLite database. No data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party.
MaintBot is distributed two ways:
Neither distribution channel is used to collect data about you.
All app data is stored exclusively on your device. MaintBot does not use any remote servers, cloud storage, analytics services, or tracking tools. If you uninstall the app, all data is permanently deleted.
MaintBot includes an optional export feature that lets you save your data as a JSON file to your device. This file is created locally and is only shared if you choose to share it yourself. MaintBot does not automatically upload or transmit this file.
MaintBot allows you to attach photos to vehicles from your device's photo library. These photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or transmitted.
MaintBot may send local notifications to remind you of upcoming registration expiry dates. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external service.
MaintBot includes an optional "Send Bug Report" button in the Profile screen. When you tap this button, the app prepares an email containing:
To make these reports useful after a crash, MaintBot stores a small log file (error_log.json) in the app's private storage area on your device. This file contains only the error messages and breadcrumb entries described above — no vehicle data, hour readings, or personal details. The file is overwritten each session and stays on your device unless you send a bug report.
The email is opened in your device's email app. Nothing is sent automatically — you can review, edit, or cancel the message before sending. Bug reports are only collected when you choose to send one.
MaintBot does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, advertising networks, or analytics platforms.
MaintBot does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
If this privacy policy is updated, changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
